How this IT professional got a job after 2 years out of the market.
When Fabiano came to Australia from Brazil in 2012 he had a dream to work in his field of study and build his career in Australia as an IT professional. Whist studying English he took a job on a bakery to help paying the bills and at the beginning he thought it was very fun to learn something new and have a career break but after a few months he wanted to move on and work in his industry again.

"I wanted to find a job in as a DBA Oracle or as a Business Intelligence Consultant but I didn’t know the market in Sydney neither who the decision makers were. I didn’t know where to start". - Says Fabiano
After talking to friends and doing some internet research Fabiano prepared his Resume and started applying for job opportunities on websites like seek.com.au and careerone.com.au among others. He tried dozens of websites and did many applications but didn’t get any positive answers.
Although he knew something wasn’t working he didn’t know why he was failing. The lack of response from the market ended up demotivating him a bit and he kept working as a baker for almost 2 years, trying with a few applications here and there.
